IRIS SHOPPING CENTER PITESTI
April was a busy month for events at the Iris Shopping Center, the first major event in April took place on Saturday April 11, 2009 beginning with contests/giveaways all day from Vodafone and ending with a concert by one of Romania’s most famous female singers, Delia. Delia performed for a crowd of 500 shoppers inside the Iris Shopping Center Gallery and after the show stayed to sign autographs for all of her fans. The concert signified the beginning of the Easter Raffle campaign (“Tombola de Paşte”) with the grand prize being a Dacia Sandero.
The following Saturday, April 18, 2009, was the end of the week long coupon campaign in which shoppers became eligible for the raffle by making a purchase of more than 10 Ron and filling out a coupon with all of their details. The coupon was then entered into the raffle box and the winners were chosen on Saturday afternoon. The prizes included cocktails at Queen Café, jewelry from Bijuteria Luciano, sets of bathroom mats from Pro Confort Mochetex, manicure/pedicure packages and hairdressing for men and women from Salon de Paris Prestige and the grand prize of a Dacia Sandero. After over four thousand entries, the grand prize winner was Emilia Georgiana Trasca, 23, from Pitesti, who is currently a medical student in Bucharest. We would like to congratulate Emilia and thank all participants that came and shopped with us at the Iris Shopping Center gallery. The Dacia giveaway will start again in June and we will give away one Dacia per month for the remainder of the year, so please come out and see us for your chance to win a new Iris Shopping Center Dacia.
Iris Shopping Center proposes as an expansion of its commercial activity a cultural intercession: the opening of a location aimed to promote visual arts, the creation of a small art center where the artists from Pitesti city can participate actively, by organizing art classes for the children and teenagers keen on art.
On Saturday April 25, 2009, we began our inaugural children’s art workshop, called the Iris Art Center. It is intended for the children wishing to attend the free classes offered by Iris Shopping Center. The Iris Art Center workshop will take place every Saturday, on May 9, 16, 23 from 13:00 to 17:00 and will be followed by the Iris Art Center Exhibition on Sunday, May 31, 2009. All children’s paintings will be displayed in the Iris Shopping Center Gallery and in the afternoon, winners will be chosen for the best painting and many other prizes will be offerred to the children who attended the courses. As of the early success of this event, we intend to continue it every Saturday during the entire summer.
Another upcoming event will be the Iris Shopping Center Car Exposition on the weekend of May 16-17, 2009. All the auto dealers in Arges County were invited to bring their latest car models and their representatives in order to give information on all the upcoming models and sales programs that are currently under way. Audi, BMW, Chevrolet, Citroen, Dacia, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Skoda, Suzuki cars and motorcycles, Toyota and Volkswagen will be the brands which announced their presence to this event till now.
With a total GLA of 43,000 sq m, Iris Shopping Center Piteşti is the biggest retail park/shopping center in Arges County. The Iris Shopping Center Pitesti consists of an Auchan Hypermarket (13,600 sqm GLA opened Nov. 2007), a commercial gallery of 44 stores (8,325 sqm GLA) and a Bricostore do it yourself (9,500 sqm GLA opened Dec. 2007). The third phase of the Iris Shopping Center Pitesti project, opened on December 11, 2008, is the Iris Shopping Center Gallery (7,000 sqm GLA) consisting of 33 retail stores. In the fourth phase of the project, Avrig 35 plans to build the largest entertainment center in Pitesti, consisting of the first state of the art digital nine screen cinema and a 8 lane bowling alley, billiards and video games (on a total area of 4,500 sqm GLA) opening next year.
The Iris Shopping center Pitesti is the second commercial park opened by Avrig 35, the first being located in Titan Bucharest, also anchored by Auchan, Sprider, Domo, Takko, Olympic Casino and Starplex Cinema.
The Iris Shopping Center gallery is anchored by Sprider (Men’s and women’s fashion), Domo (Electronics anchor), Reno (Shoes), Olympic Casino and the first Go Sport (Sporting Goods and fashion) in Romania. Other stores include 2NA FARM (Pharmacy), Bijuteria Luciano (Jewelry), BMW Motor AG, Broaster Chicken, Cache Cache (Fashion), Far Est (Thermopane windows and doors), Fujifilm (Photo Shop), Impact (Media), Jolidon (Lingerie), La Foret (Real Estate agency), Pro Confort Mochetex (Home Décor), Queen Café, Salon de Paris Prestige (Beauty Salon), UniCredit Tiriac Bank (Banking), Vodafone (Communications) and Zahir Art and Design (Home Décor).
The Iris Shopping Center Gallery is located at the intersection of A1 Bucuresti-Pitesti motorway and the Petrochimistilor Boulevard, on DN 65B, between Auchan and Bricostore. The commercial center is located next to the city’s Customs building, mixed use area in full process of development (BMW, Peugeot, Dacia, Toyota, Skoda – auto showrooms).
