Avrig 35's first venture outside Bucharest occurred in 2003 with the purchasing of buildings in 17 larger Romanian cities. The majority of the buildings were refurbished and the space rented to Raiffeisen Bank and various other companies. This 47,000 sq m portfolio, sold in 2008, represents the only true domestic real estate portfolio in Romania, with buildings in most of the Romanian provincial capital cities. In the city of Constanta, the second largest city in Romania and the main port city, with an estimated population of over 350,000 inhabitants, the building is located close to the harbor at the eastern limit of the city center. The building is still under refurbishment.
